BO3

From QuakeWorld Wiki

BO3 is an abbreviation of "Best of three" which is a very common QuakeWorld match format meaning that the team/player who is able to win 2 maps out of 3 first, is the winner of the match. By using Best of three format leagues for example are able to avoid tied games.

European Quake League and Nations Quake Rank are known for using this match format for their group stage matches.
